Job summary

Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, TX, is seeking a facilities technician to support daily mail delivery, maintenance, and event setup. You will assist with minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordinate setups for school activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years in building maintenance, and a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain it within 3 months. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible hours is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of building maintenance experience.
• Valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement or willingness to acquire within 3 months.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily mail and packages for lower and upper school.
• Maintain clean, attractive appearance of building and grounds.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance (locks, doors, hardware, keyboards, desks, chairs).
• Plan and perform preventative maintenance tasks; log work orders.
• Coordinate setup/teardown for events; assist with event setups.
• Serve as liaison with church ministries; ensure safety and quality.
• Inspect classrooms and facilities for safety, cleanliness and readiness.
• Assist housekeeping with routine and emergency cleaning as needed.
• Report safety hazards and building issues to Facility Manager.
