Job summary

Staffmark Group in Nashville, TN is hiring a Facilities Associate on 1st shift with a pay rate of $19.00-$23.00 per hour. This role maintains clean, safe production and office spaces in GMP environments.

You will operate cleaning and groundskeeping equipment, manage sanitation tasks, and complete work orders while following safety procedures. A high school diploma is preferred; prior janitorial or facilities experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, and SOPs.
• Willingness to learn and follow GMP and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production, warehouse, office, and common areas in compliance with GMP standards.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment, groundskeeping tools, and lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and leaf blowers.
• Maintain facility grounds by mowing, trimming, weed control, litter removal, and seasonal cleanup.
• Clean and maintain entrances, walkways, parking lots, and surrounding property.
• Complete and document sanitation activities, maintenance work orders, and daily tasks accurately.
• Identify and report safety, sanitation, or maintenance concerns to management.
• Assist with facility inspections, audits, snow and ice removal, and additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial, sanitation, facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience operating lawn care, cleaning, or maintenance equipment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and experience using work order or maintenance management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and recordkeeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and move up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors in manufacturing and warehouse environments as well as outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when needed.
