Job summary

Staffmark Group in Lancaster, TX is seeking a Janitorial and Facilities Assistant for a day shift (7 AM-3:30 PM), Monday–Friday. The role supports daily facility operations, performs hands-on maintenance, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in janitorial or facilities roles, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of safety practices and basic tools use are a plus; forklift experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities maintenance, warehouse support, or a related role preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience performing basic repairs, facility upkeep, cleaning procedures, and equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and warehouse safety standards preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment.
• Forklift certification or forklift operating experience required or preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify safety concerns and facility improvement opportunities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Reliable, safety‑focused, and proactive with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to regularly lift to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, equipment traffic, and varying working conditions.
