Facilities Assistant (Events)
Location: Central Office
Reports to: Facilities Lead
Summary of Role
The Facilities Assistant (Events) is responsible for focused facility support to help create excellent experiences for Celebration Church guests and attendees.
Position Status & Schedule
- Non-exempt, hourly
- Full-time (40 hours)
- Monday through Friday: hours vary per week dependent on events scheduled; may include weekends and evenings
- Christmas, Easter, Pursuit Weeks (January/August), and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are blackout days for time off. Major conferences may also be required workdays for this position. Other events will be required outside of your regular schedule; you will be informed in advance of these requirements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Service and Event Execution
- Complete assigned facility work orders from ministries and departments for events and conference needs.
- Set up and tear down event spaces, including moving, arranging, and storing furniture and equipment.
- Prepare event supplies such as tablecloths, towels, and banners.
- Manage event inventory, including tables, chairs, and other supplies.
- Schedule HVAC settings and porter services for events.
- Serve as the on-site facilities representative during events.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event walkthroughs to ensure venue readiness and cleanliness.
- Support emergency setup changes and last-minute adjustments as needed.
- Proactively monitor, evaluate, and maintain high quality environments during assigned events.
- Report facility needs to Facility Manager for equipment maintenance or supply needs post-event.
- Coordinate with vendors on deliveries and pickups of facility rentals or other equipment (as requested)
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date expense reports.
- Contributes to the overall success of Celebration Church by performing all other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Prior Facilities, Events, or other related work experience preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 30% of the time.
- Must be able to move about inside the office and around the Church facility.
- Must be able to position self to maintain supplies and equipment on lower shelves and in closets.
- Frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to perform repetitive physical tasks (i.e. stacking chairs, unstacking chairs, setting chairs out in rows, setting up folding tables and chairs in large venues).
- Constantly work in an open office environment.
- Ability to work outside in various climates and temperatures.
