Job summary

TECHNICAL CONSUMER PRODUCTS INC is seeking an on-site Facilities Maintenance specialist in Aurora, OH. The role focuses on day-to-day upkeep of the building, routine repairs, and supporting the Facilities Manager to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain TCP facilities and perform routine repairs and maintenance.
• Assist Facilities Manager and monitor building operations.
• Use hand and power tools for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Record maintenance activities, materials used, and costs.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report hazards.
• Provide support for snow removal, janitorial duties, and general cleanup.
• Inspect equipment and diagnose simple mechanical issues with available manuals.

Ensure everyday maintenance of TCP building facilities.

Essential Duties

• Actively support the company’s culture and business mission by always putting TCP’s people and its customers first.
• Monitor and participate in assigned operations, per direction of Facility Manager
• Provide maintenance to facility, snow removal, general clean up and general repairs, and janitorial duties as required.
• Work towards resolving problems and provide support to Facilities Manager
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments. May require electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Order materials and supplies when required for repairs or projects. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Assist in the tracking and monitoring of facility expenditures and provide information to Facilities Manager for budget purposes.
• Records data in regards to work performance/performed, materials and supplies used, purchase requests, general maintenance, etc.
• Provides information in regards to the up keep of facility to ensure all items are in good working order
• On occasion may need to diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints and / or repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Other responsibilities or projects assigned by manager.

Experience/Requirements

• Good knowledge of the facility and how it operates
• Experience in carpentry, electrical, mechanical; a PLUS
• Skillful team worker.
