Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Bedford, USA facility. You will perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime.

The role requires basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, the ability to read manuals and blueprints, and proficiency with hand and power tools. You will train new associates, install components, and maintain accurate records while following all

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with maintenance experience.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Repair and maintain facility structure (doors, windows, flooring).
• Provide support to other departments on process or equipment changes.
• Train and mentor new maintenance associates.
• Install equipment, components, and systems, with or without outside services.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards; apply corrective action.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Inspect tools, parts, and equipment; arrange replacements as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
