Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) is seeking a hands-on Facilities & Asset Coordinator to support day-to-day operations across offices, shops, yards, and jobsites. You’ll help maintain equipment, track inventory, receive shipments, and prepare tools for field teams, ensuring safety and readiness.

The role emphasizes organization, problem-solving, and proactive maintenance, with responsibilities spanning utility rooms to outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in facilities, warehouse operations, inventory, asset management, equipment rental, shipping/receiving, construction operations, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with tools, equipment, fleet assets, or inventory tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in construction, electrical or mechanical contracting, industrial environments, or trades is preferred.
• Experience with tool tracking software, CMMS, or work order management systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, security, or other building systems is a plus.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in asset, tool, and equipment operations across offices, shops, yards, and jobsites.
• Maintain asset tracking systems and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Prepare and stage tools, equipment, and materials for field teams and project needs.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage and readiness for reissue.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment meet established safety and readiness standards.
• Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Organize inventory within warehouse, shop, and storage areas.
• Process material requests and fulfill orders for jobsites and company locations.
• Track inventory levels and assist with replenishment efforts.
• Support inventory audits and asset accountability initiatives.
• Perform routine facility inspections and assist with preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinate minor repairs and support service vendors as needed.
• Help maintain building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, security, access control).
• Assist in maintaining offices, shops, yards, and storage facilities in a clean, organized state.
• Support facility improvement projects and space optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate facility readiness for employees, visitors, and operations.
• Maintain high standards for housekeeping, organization, and safety across facilities.
• Support OSHA compliance and company safety policies.
• Assist with facility and asset inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Utilize PPE and adhere to site-specific safety requirements.
• Assist with upkeep of company grounds, storage yards, and outdoor spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and organization of equipment and vehicles.
• Support winter and seasonal maintenance activities as needed.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient work environment ready for operations.
