Job summary

Takeda's Cambridge, MA internship offers hands‑on exposure to enterprise asset management within Global Real Estate & Facilities. You will analyze asset data, map processes, and help develop standardized procedures, dashboards, and reports across asset lifecycle activities.

The co‑op combines flexible hybrid work (1–3 days in the office) with collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other teams, building skills in data governance and lifecycle planning.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI or other data-visualization tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to organize information and create clear documentation and presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable with cross-functional collaboration.
• Curiosity and initiative; ability to manage multiple assignments with guidance.
• Interest in facilities, asset management, maintenance, sustainability, operations or process improvement; experience with enterprise systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze asset, preventive maintenance, work order, and financial data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities.
• Support reconciliation of physical assets with records in enterprise systems and track data-quality issues.
• Document current‑state and future‑state workflows for asset creation, tagging, classification, maintenance-plan assignment, record updates, redeployment, and retirement.
• Interview subject‑matter experts and translate knowledge into clear process maps, SOPs, job aids, and training materials.
• Assist with dashboards, metrics, and recurring reports related to asset completeness, PM coverage, reliability, lifecycle condition, and program progress.
• Participate in cross‑functional working sessions and coordinate actions with Facilities Operations, Engineering, Finance, Capital Projects, Workplace, EHS, and service-provider teams.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects that enhance asset governance, data‑driven decision‑making, cost efficiency, compliance, and lifecycle performance.
