Ferncroft Country Club is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and appearance of the Club’s buildings and facilities.

This is a working manager position. The successful candidate will personally complete routine repairs and maintenance while supervising the housekeeping team, coordinating outside vendors, and ensuring that member-facing areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the property.
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, hardware, and equipment repairs.
• Identify maintenance issues and complete or coordinate repairs promptly.
• Supervise, schedule, and support the housekeeping staff.
• Inspect restrooms, locker rooms, pool facilities, offices, and other member areas.
• Establish and maintain daily cleaning and maintenance schedules.
• Manage work orders, maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate contractors and service vendors when specialized work is required.
• Assist with construction punch lists, building openings, and improvement projects.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and occasional after-hours emergencies.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, property management, or a skilled handyman role.
• Experience supervising employees, preferably housekeeping or maintenance staff.
• Strong working knowledge of basic building repairs and maintenance.
• Ability and willingness to perform physical, hands-on work every day.
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy hospitality environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Private club, hotel, resort, school, healthcare, apartment, or commercial property experience is preferred.
• Flexible availability, including occasional evenings, weekends, and emergencies.
