Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Specialist, Facilities to install and maintain burglar and fire alarms across its stores. This role reports to the Associate, Facilities – Alarm Systems and covers installations, upgrades, and coordination with store personnel.

You will also handle daily work order follow-up and scheduling for repairs. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years in the alarm industry, with ability to travel and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or encouraged to apply.
• 3+ years of experience in the alarm industry preferred.
• Willingness to travel and flexible schedule required.
• Knowledge of fire and burglar alarm systems and safety codes preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and communicate with store personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day fire and burglar alarm repairs, ensuring timely completion and minimal downtime.
• Assess status of protective systems and determine watch needs for non-operational systems.
• Process alarm work orders and troubleshoot alarm communications with central stations.
• Communicate system issues to store leadership and coordinate with third-party providers.
• Follow up on repairs, installations, and additions; maintain attendance and punctuality.
