Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Facilities Access Assistant to provide facility information and safe access assistance to patients, families, and community members utilizing PNHS facilities. You may escort individuals with limited mobility to destinations and assist with wheelchair and walking support.

The role includes training in wheelchair use and lifting/moving assistance, and submitting written incident reports for Risk Management and Safety & Security; the position is full-time, Monday

Qualifications

• Ability to interact and communicate verbally.
• Able to withstand long periods of walking, standing, and pushing wheelchairs.
• Able to withstand various types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide facility information and safe access assistance to community members utilizing PNHS facilities.
• Escort persons of limited mobility to requested destinations.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and walking escorts as needed.
• Receive training in wheelchair use and lifting/moving assistance.
• Submit written incident reports for evaluation by Risk Management or the Department of Safety & Security.
