Job summary

codeCampus is seeking an Assistant Instructor to join our on-site team in San Diego/La Jolla. You will work with schools and staff to deliver STEAM activities to K-8 students using our curriculum. Training is provided and paid, with immediate start dates available.

The role emphasizes strong communication, classroom management, and the ability to transport to partner sites. Hours follow the school schedule; compensation starts at $18 per hour with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Available to start training immediately (paid).
• Available to start instructing immediately.
• Available from: Tu/Th 8:30am - 3:10pm; Wed 8:15am - 12:15pm; Fri 8am - 12:15pm.
• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to go through our professional development training program.

Responsibilities

• Work on site with company, district, and site staff at our partner schools in the area.
• Lead STEAM projects/activities for students grades K-8 using our proprietary curriculum.
• Collaborate with codeCampus site Lead Instructor to ensure programming runs smoothly on site.
• Support in ensuring all student health, safety, and educational needs are met in accordance with district and company protocols.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00/hr depending on experience, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance and time with the company.
