Job summary

codeCampus Academy, LLC is seeking an Assistant Instructor to join our on-site team at partner schools in the San Diego area. You will lead STEAM projects for students in grades K-8 using our proprietary curriculum and work closely with the site Lead Instructor to ensure programs run smoothly.

Ideal candidates are early-career or seasoned educators with strong communication skills, reliable transportation, and a willingness to participate in our professional development training.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Willing to complete training program.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEAM projects and activities for students in grades K-8 using proprietary curriculum.
• Work on site with district and site staff to ensure programming runs smoothly.
• Collaborate with the Lead Instructor to coordinate on-site activities.
• Support health, safety, and educational needs in accordance with district and company protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

About the role

As an Assistant Instructor, you will:

• Work on site with company, district, and site staff at our partner schools in the area.
• Lead STEAM projects/activities for students gradestK-8 using our proprietary curriculum.
• Collaborate with codeCampus site Lead Instructor to ensure programming runs smoothly on site
• Support in ensuring all student health, safety, and educational needs are met in accordance with district and company protocols.
• Additional duties as assigned.

About you

This role is great for early-career educators and seasoned educators alike. Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• Available to start training immediately (paid), and to start instructing immediately
• Availableto work from the current school yearand beyond
• Available from:Tu/Th 8:30am. - 3:10pm Wednesdays 8:15am - 12:15pm, and Fridays 8am - 12:15pm
• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting
• Exceptional communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Willing to go through our professional development training program

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00/hr depending on experience, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance and time with the company.
