The Violence Intervention Program in New York is looking for a full-time Facilitator to lead restorative circles and support Latinx survivors. You will engage with community members and facilitate healing processes. Ideal candidates will be bilingual in English and Spanish and have experience in restorative justice practices.
You will play a crucial role in community outreach and assist in program development while working within a flexible, hybrid working model.

Compensation: $32.97/hour, non-negotiable
Established by Black and Latina activists in 1984, the Violence Intervention Program (VIP) is NYC’s only culturally specific organization with a mission to address domestic and sexual violence within Latine communities. We provide intensive support and services to 3,500+ survivors and children every year and reach 10,000+ community members through community events and preventive education workshops. We are dedicated to developing innovative programs that meet the complex needs of our diverse community and that align with our organizational values.
The Restorative Justice Facilitator is an exuberant and compassionate individual with a demonstrated commitment to developing alternative approaches to community healing and restoration with families impacted by domestic violence. The Facilitator reports directly to the Restorative Justice Manager and is responsible for conducting outreach and running a variety of community building and restorative circles designed to offer support to Latinx survivors, families and community. The ideal candidate is an active listener and skilled communicator who engages people with compassion and empathy and views conflict as an opportunity for transformation. The facilitator is approachable and works closely with the Restorative Justice Manager to provide culturally responsive restorative practices to diverse groups of people in multifaceted roles. The candidate embraces values of diversity, cultural humility, teamwork, and community empowerment.
