Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Healthcare Payer Functional/Technical Lead to drive Facets system integration and modernization initiatives. You will collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, solution architects, and global delivery teams to deliver transformational programs.

The role emphasizes requirements gathering, design of enrollment solutions, data modeling, and governance, with flexibility for remote, hybrid, or onsite work and a strong focus on AI-enabled delivery practices.

Qualifications

Extensive experience with Facets Membership and Enrollment lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of Facets backend data structures and data models.
Proven expertise in Healthcare Payer Operations across Commercial and ASO.
Experience leading solution design, functional architecture, and system integration.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions, discovery workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Experience managing onshore and offshore delivery teams in complex consulting or implementation environments.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering sessions and Joint Application Design (JAD) discussions with client stakeholders.
Analyze existing payer systems, interfaces, and business processes to identify solution opportunities and transformation strategies.
Design end-to-end Facets Membership and Enrollment solutions, including functional specifications and integration requirements.
Provide technical and functional leadership to onshore and offshore delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive project estimation, planning, risk management, and delivery governance activities.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to resolve complex functional and technical challenges.
Support healthcare payer platform modernization and migration initiatives from legacy administration systems to Facets.
Promote AI-enabled software engineering and delivery practices to improve quality, productivity, and project outcomes.

About the role

As a Healthcare Payer Functional/Technical Lead, you will make an impact by leading Facets System Integration initiatives and delivering innovative solutions that support healthcare payer operations. You will be a valued member of our Healthcare Product Consulting team and work collaboratively with clients, business stakeholders, solution architects, and global delivery teams to drive successful transformation programs.

In this role, you will:

Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and Joint Application Design (JAD) discussions with client stakeholders.

What you need to have to be considered

Extensive experience with Facets Membership and Enrollment, including enrollment lifecycle management, batch processing, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of Facets backend data structures and data models.
Proven expertise in Healthcare Payer Operations, particularly across Commercial and ASO lines of business.
Experience leading solution design, functional architecture, and system integration initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions, discovery workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Experience managing onshore and offshore delivery teams in complex consulting or implementation environments.
Strong skills in project estimation, planning, risk management, and delivery oversight.
Exceptional communication, consulting, and client relationship management skills.

These will help you stand out

Experience with migration programs from legacy payer administration platforms to Facets.
Hands-on experience with MS SQL, .NET, REST APIs, and Power BI.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience working in large-scale healthcare transformation or system modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of AI-assisted software engineering, delivery practices, or relevant certifications.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
