Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Technical Consultant to design, develop, and support healthcare technology solutions across claims, membership, billing, and data management. You will work with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Facets platforms that meet client needs.

You will design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL components and collaborate on testing, validation, and production support activities.

• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills and SQL Server/Azure knowledge.

Responsibilities

About the role

As a Facets Technical Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting healthcare technology solutions that enable efficient claims, membership, billing, and data management processes. You will be a valued member of the healthcare technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, testers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet evolving business and client needs.

In this role, you will:

• Partner with business stakeholders and users to gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements into scalable Facets solutions.
• Define and support product enhancements, ensuring alignment between business objectives, functional requirements, and technical delivery.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL components, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, collections, and materialized views to support data integration and processing.
• Perform application testing, quality reviews, and validation activities to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of Facets-related solutions and interfaces.
• Support functional and user acceptance testing, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution of technical challenges.

What you need to have to be considered

• Experience working within the Healthcare domain.
• Hands-on experience with the Facets platform, including Membership, Claims, and Billing modules.
• Strong technical expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Azure technologies.
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience performing root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting testing, implementation, and production support activities.

These will help you stand out

• Experience working in Agile environments and utilizing tools such as Jira.
• Knowledge of healthcare data integration, data migration, and ETL processes.
• Experience with Facets extensions, interfaces, and customization projects.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Experience leading requirements discussions and solution-design sessions.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
