Arup is seeking a Facades Engineering Intern in Los Angeles to help structure façade concepts, generate sketches and reports, and engage with architects and engineers on 3D modeling of complex facades.

The role involves performing structural, thermal, and solar modeling of enclosure details, using advanced analysis tools and CAD software, while supporting field inspections and shop drawing reviews.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Building Science/Engineering or architecture degree with interest in façades.
• Strong sketching ability and the capacity to communicate concepts visually.
• Interest in detailing and engineering related to building envelopes.

Responsibilities

• Structure façade concepts through sketches, reports, and analyses for architects and clients.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers on 3D modeling of complex façades.
• Perform structural, thermal, and solar modeling of enclosure details and systems.
