Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority is seeking a Facade Technical Detail Specialist, Architect – Level A to C, to lead complex envelope design across NYC public schools. The role requires NYS registration and multi-year project leadership experience.

You will evaluate envelope systems, perform thermal analyses, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and fabricators to deliver buildable, durable facades that meet budget and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State registration as an Architect; maintain for duration of employment.
• Three years full-time paid experience as a Registered Architect (Level B) with two years as project architect.
• Six years full-time paid experience as a Registered Architect (Level C) with three years as project architect.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on façade-related scope and design strategy.
• Coordinate with in-house architects, engineers, consultants, and suppliers.
• Perform thermal and whole-assembly U-value analyses and dew point studies.
• Develop and review façade details, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure code compliance and maintain façade performance standards.
