Job summary

Spott is seeking two experienced self-employed bricklayers for Belgian sites focused on facade brickwork and blockwork in West and East Flanders. Projects involve new-build homes with structural work; direct contract with the client and hourly pay.

Starting within 1–2 weeks, transport, basic tools, and VCA/scaffolding certificates are required. The role may extend long-term if quality expectations are met. Hours can exceed 50 per week, with 14-day payment terms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience with facade brickwork, blockwork and glued masonry.
• Experience with cavity wall build-up (wall ties, DPC, airtightness).
• Self-employed status with an own VAT number or Belgian BTW, or a valid A1 document.
• Own transport and own basic hand tools.
• Able to work independently at a good pace; English or Dutch on site.

Responsibilities

• Lay facing brick with flush-pointed mortar and point afterwards.
• Build blockwork for inner cavity leaf and walls.
• Work with traditional mortar and glue mortar.
• Build cavity walls, including wall ties, DPC and airtight finishing.
• Work on scaffolding and complete a façade; output ~8 m² per person per day.
