Job summary

American Energy Innovations in Springtown, TX is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder for a full-time, shop-based role. You will fabricate and weld metal components according to engineering drawings and specs, using GMAW/FCAW and occasional SMAW.

A welding test and compliance with AWS D1.1, D1.2, and ASME are required. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, handling sheet metal, and using an overhead crane.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Welding test required; AWS D1.1, D1.2, ASME compliance.
• Proficient with fabrication equipment (bandsaws, grinders, ironworkers, plasma cutter).
• Experience in structural fabrication and pipe shop is a plus.
• Ability to assemble metal components accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in GMAW & FCAW processes (welding test required), AWS D1.1, D1.2, ASME.
• Occasional SMAW welding.
• Operate fabrication equipment (bandsaws, grinders, ironworkers, welding machines, plasma cutter).
• Handle sheet metal for cutting, welding, and assembling.
• Use overhead crane to position and move steel and equipment.
• Knowledge of fitting & layout.
