Job summary

Lantech seeks a Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. You will MIG weld mild steel, fabricate standard and non-standard parts, and read blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications. You’ll set up welding machines, inspect outputs, and maintain tolerances while following safety procedures.

You should have 3+ years welding experience, be able to read weld symbols, and lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience fabricating parts to print.
• Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld mild steel to produce standard parts using fixtures.
• Fabricate non-standard parts and assemblies without fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications.
• Use measuring tools to ensure parts meet dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up welding machines and peripheral equipment.
• Maintain angles, tolerances, and squareness of parts.
• Saw, drill, and tap raw materials as needed.
• Inspect finished work for quality and specifications.
• Operate welding equipment safely and follow procedures.
• Support production deadlines and overtime when needed.
