Job Description

This position involves welding and fabricating custom designs under the supervision of the department manager. The role requires interaction with support staff, management, plant personnel, and the sales team. It is a union position with the Steelworkers Local. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime on Fridays.

Requirements

1. Fluency in TIG welding aluminum.
2. Fluency in MIG welding aluminum.
3. Proficiency in CNC folder operation.
4. Proficiency in CNC punching operation.
5. Experience grinding welds to prepare for finishing processes such as painting, powder coating, or anodizing.
6. Mechanical aptitude.
7. Ability to use common measuring tools, including tape measures and squares.
8. Ability to interpret shop drawings.
9. Ability to pass a timed math test.
10. Experience using power tools and hand tools.
11. Ability to read and understand shop orders and shop releases.
12. Good attendance record.
13. Ability to follow instructions accurately.
14. Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment operation.
15. Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including Fridays and Saturdays as necessary.
16. Ability to produce products that meet quality standards.
