Job summary

Hendrickson in Lebanon, Indiana, is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to perform turning, milling, grinding, and sawing operations to produce high-quality components. You will conduct precision inspections using calibrated measurement tools, follow work instructions, report daily activities, and participate in preventive maintenance, while upholding safety standards and teamwork.

Applicants must demonstrate a mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work in a production environment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to follow operation procedures.
• Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated measurement tools.
• Must meet production standards and follow instructions.
• Previous machining preferred; NC/CNC operations desired.
• Must attend work regularly and pass drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform turning, grinding, shearing, sawing, and CNC operations to produce quality parts.
• Operate CNC turning and milling machines.
• Perform inspection on product utilizing Total Quality concepts.
• Conduct required quality control checks using measurement equipment.
• Exercise safe work habits and follow instructions.
• Report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Performing burning, grinding, shearing, sawing, turning and press brake operations to produce a quality product.
• Operates CNC machines to include turning and milling processes.
• Perform inspection on product utilizing Total Quality concepts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.
• Conduct required quality control checks using various measurement equipment.
• Exercise safe work habits.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to work in a production environment preferred.
• Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems.
• Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, various calipers and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance.
• Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
• Previous machining preferred, NC / CNC operations desired.
• Must be able to attend work on a regular basis.
• High School diploma or GED from an accredited school required.
• Pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
