Job summary

Kaney Inc. seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment to produce quality parts that meet requirements. You will perform quality inspections, read blueprints, and make adjustments per procedures.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, GD&T knowledge, and may train others. This role is in a shop environment and requires lifting up to 50 lbs and bending/standing as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Ability to read and understand G&M programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints/drawings.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Perform setups and operation of assigned CNC equipment.
• Inspection using variety of gauging including CMM.
• Use common inspection equipment: micrometers, indicators, and calipers.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Assist in the training of other operators in the safe use and operation of CNC equipment.
• Perform first piece sample verification of work done by others throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records.
• Comply with all company quality and safety requirements.

• Perform setups and operation of assigned CNC equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of tool maker / tool room experience preferred
• Aerospace experience is a plus.

Operational Details / Work Environment

• This position operates in a shop environment with moving machinery.
• This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and bend or stand as necessary.
