Job summary

Cutting Edge Countertops, Inc. in Bryan, OH is seeking a Countertop Fabricator for the 3rd shift. You will operate sifters, saws, routers, and CNC basics to fabricate countertops to exact sizes. The role includes installing sinks, applying laminate, and finishing backsplashes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate sanders, miter saws, table saws, and routers.
• Cut and assemble countertops to specified sizes.
• Cut and apply build-up and banding countertops.
• Fabricate applied edge tops and install sinks into countertops.
• Glue and lay laminate; cut and finish backsplashes.
• Apply adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops.
• File/sand and clean tops for final quality check.
• Maintain clean work areas and basic CNC operations.

L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered. L.E. Smith is looking for a 1ST Shift Fabricator 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday.

A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files.

Qualifications

• An ability to understand shop drawings, schematic diagrams.
• Physical stamina to stand for long period of time.
• Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery
• 1-3 years fabrication experience desired, or those with experience in detail focused trades (finished carpentry, auto repair) or time spent playing music or producing art do well in this role!
• May require moving material up to 70 lbs.
• Requires good physical dexterity, as well as eye/hand coordination to operate tools.
• High School diploma or GED

Salary Description$18.00 per hour
