Johnson Controls is hiring a Fabricator/Assembler to build and assemble fire protection and extinguishing systems. The role requires reading blueprints, performing welding to 6-G pipe standards, and fabricating components per drawings. Expect to operate metalworking machines and join parts using various methods.

Shift is 5a-3p Monday–Thursday with possible OT. Training pay and certified pay rates are provided, with competitive benefits. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in a zero-harm culture.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years old with HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of blueprints and welding to pass 6-G pipe weld test.
• Frequent torqueing on pipe wrenches and shop math needed.
• Able to lift items over 50 pounds and stand 100% of the time.

Aufgaben

• Assembles standard and special dry chemical or AFFF systems from diagrams or instructions.
• Fabricates and assembles jigs, fixtures, cabinets, and related components.
• Operates band saws, shears, pipe benders, and presses to shape parts.
• Join components using welding, brazing, soldering on various metals.
• Test pneumatic actuation and detection systems; test tanks and systems under pressure.
• Perform minor maintenance on machines and assist in training peers.
