Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a hands-on operator to support onsite metal fabrication and assembly. The role involves operating punch presses, shears, rolls, brakes, saws, and drill presses to produce metal components according to specifications.

You will follow standard procedures, perform inspections, and ensure quality while maintaining safety and production targets. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Preferred High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year Manufacturing Experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate metal fabrication equipment per procedures to cut, bend, form and shape metal components.
  • Follow work instructions to support safe, efficient production while learning manufacturing processes.
  • Produce high quality fabricated parts using fabrication equipment.
  • Run production as a loader/unloader or on various presses and fabrication stations.
  • Conduct inspections per gage plans and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Set up, prep, fabricate, clean up, perform preventative maintenance of machines and quality checks.
  • Maintain records per Stryker specifications and meet production goals.

Job description

Work Flexibility: Onsite Schedule: Mon - Fri, 1:45pm - 10:15pm, OT Required

What you will do:
  • Operate metal fabrication equipment, including punch presses, shears, rolls, power brakes, and saws, to cut, bend, form, and shape metal components to specification.
  • This role follows established procedures and work instructions to support safe, efficient production while learning manufacturing processes and developing technical skills.
  • Responsible for producing high quality fabricated parts utilizing various fabrication equipment
  • Responsible for running production as a loaded/unloader, or on a drill press station, weld nut station, saw, or other basic fabrication equipment and tooling
  • Conducts inspections in accordance with relevant gage plans with a working knowledge of how to operate required inspection equipment and troubleshoots as needed
  • Responsible for set-up, work preparation, fabrication, clean up, preventative maintenance of machine center, and quality assurance of own work and work area
  • Assures compliance with policies and procedures, customer service goals, and quality standards while meeting production goals
  • Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications
  • Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.
  • Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends
What you need:

  • Ability to lift/carry 10-50 pounds frequently.

#INDGQO $21.90/hr + $2.00/hr Shift Premium, plus bonus potential and benefits.

These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based - You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Hybrid - You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
