Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a production assembler in Portage, MI. You will assemble various components, prepare parts, and document quality checks to support multiple product lines. The role requires following detailed work instructions and meeting tight production cycles on a first-shift schedule.

The position involves lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and occasional heavier lifts, with overtimeincluding weekends. Compensation is $20.25 per hour plus eligibility for bonuses and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components including sub-assemblies, manual and electrical components to contribute to product completion.
• Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines.
• Follow process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks and record related documentation for quality.
• Meet production build rates, schedules and required cycle times.
• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required.
• Use tools including manual/power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring/cutting devices.
• Be responsible for set-ups, work prep, clean up, and quality of own work and work-area.
• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
• Lift/carry 10-50 lbs frequently, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.

Work Flexibility

Onsite Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday- Friday, 5:45am-2:15pm, OT 2 Saturdays per month

What you will do

• Under general supervision, assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products
• Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines
• Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements
• Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times
• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required
• Uses a variety of tools that may include, but are not limited to: manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices
• Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area
• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends
• Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
