Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related training/experience can qualify
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
• Standing, walking and manual dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; good vision and situational awareness

Responsibilities

• Operates machines or works in work centers with supervision
• Safety is a top priority at all times
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Frequently moves between work centers to assist in a one- or two-man operation
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions
• Measures workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces
• Stacks, marks, packs, and transports finished workpieces
• Uses barcode system to reflect time charged to jobs
• Performs all essential duties satisfactorily as described in the job requirements
