Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America is seeking a Fabricator for the 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM, Mon–Fri) in Hobart, IN. You will operate fabrication and machine shop equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal structures for industrial automation projects.

This role requires ability to read blueprints and tape measurements, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Prior manufacturing experience with LO/TO and crane/forklift certification is beneficial.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and measurements.
Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
Must be able to read exact measurements on a tape measure.

Responsibilities

Operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.
Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
Position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
Detect workpiece defects and machine malfunctions.
Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece.
Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, die, or workpieces.
Comply with Daifuku QMS policies and drive continuous improvement.
