Job summary

MIRATECH seeks a Fabricator in Prior Lake, Minnesota to produce components to internal and customer specifications. You will interpret blueprints, prepare sheet metal for welding, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

This is a 2nd shift role: Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:30am with overtime as needed; starting pay is $21.00/hour, with increases based on background and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ year experience in metal shop/manufacturing.
• Proven decision making and analytical skills.
• Proficient with tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate sheet metal per specs and prepare for welding.

Location: Prior Lake, Minnesota

Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Collaborates with: Welding, Assembly

Primary Responsibility: The Fabricator is responsible for the production components to internal and customer requirements.

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am with overtime as necessary; sometimes required.

What You'll Do:

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals.
• Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs.
• To meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance
• Interpretation of blueprints and written part requirements.
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
• Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
• Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Cut, shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
• Other duties as assigned.

What Qualifies You:

• High School Diploma.
• 1 (+) year(s) experience in a metal shop manufacturing environment.
• Proven decision making and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Starting pay begins at $21.00/hour, with potential for more depending on your background and experience!
