Responsibilities include sheet metal fabrication techniques, preparing parts for welding, interpreting blueprints, and documenting inspections. The position requires 1+ year in a metal shop and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with starting pay at $21.00/hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques (shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, forming).
• Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs.
• Meet safety, productivity, and attendance standards.
• Interpret blueprints and part requirements.
• Perform process inspection, documentation, and certification as needed.
• Read parts lists and verify presence of all parts.
• Measure and verify specifications; prep parts for welders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Fabrication Supervisor

Collaborates with: Fabrication, Shipping, Welding

Location: Prior Lake, MN

Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Primary Responsibility: The Fabricator will work with metal and composite materials to assist build and assemble MIRATECH products based on technical drawings and specifications. Responsible for ensuring high quality fabrication while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What You'll Do:

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals.
• Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs.
• To meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance
• Interpretation of blueprints and written part requirements.
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
• Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
• Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Cut, shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
• Other duties as assigned.

What Qualifies You:

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ year(s) experience in a metal shop manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proven decision making and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Starting pay begins at $21.00/hour, with potential for more depending on your background and experience!
