AOC Metal Works is seeking dependable Fabricators for second and third shift to set up and operate laser cutting machines, press brakes, and turret punch equipment. The role focuses on producing high-quality sheet metal parts, inspecting finished work, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area.

Candidates with experience on one or more of these machines are encouraged to apply; experience on all three is not required, and the company emphasizes teamwork and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of experience in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
• Experience operating laser cutting, press brakes, or turret punch equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and written instructions.
• Ability to use measuring tools to check parts against specifications.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn machine controls.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work safely and efficiently.
• Dependable attendance and availability for second or third shift, including occasional Saturday work.

Responsabilités

• Set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment per work orders and blueprints.
• Select, install, inspect, and adjust tooling for the machines.
• Load programs, verify settings, and position sheet metal accurately.
• Perform first-piece and ongoing inspections for dimensions and quality.
• Monitor machine performance, report issues to supervisor, adjust as needed.
• Deburr parts using file or grinder.
• Package and move finished parts to designated locations.
• Complete production and inspection records.

Fabricator - 2nd & 3rd Shift

We are seeking dependable Fabricators for second and third shift to set up and operate laser cutting machines, press brakes, and turret punch equipment. This position involves producing quality sheet metal parts, inspecting finished work, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area.

Candidates with experience on one or more of these machines are encouraged to apply. Experience on all three is not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate assigned fabrication equipment according to work orders, blueprints, and production requirements.
• Select, install, inspect, and adjust appropriate tooling for the assigned machine.
• Load the correct programs, verify machine settings, and position sheet metal accurately.
• Perform first-piece and ongoing inspections to verify dimensions, bend angles, and finished part quality.
• Monitor machine performance and tool wear, make necessary adjustments, and report equipment or production issues to the supervisor.
• Deburr parts using a file or grinder as needed.
• Properly package, identify, and move finished parts to their designated locations.
• Complete required production and inspection records.
• Perform daily equipment checks and routine operator maintenance.
• Work with supervisors, programmers, and engineering to improve tooling, programs, quality, and production efficiency.
• Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures, including proper use of machine guards and personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The position requires the ability to perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, grasp, and reach.

Sit, stand, and walk as required during shifts lasting up to 10 hours.

Work around machinery, moving mechanical parts, and material-handling equipment.

Wear required protective equipment, including hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes.

The facility is not climate-controlled.
