Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled technician to ensure the overall quality of assemblies and processes across chiller unit production, with a focus on quality systems at dedicated work stations.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC fabricators, fabricating parts, performing equipment maintenance, inspecting parts for conformance, and collaborating with engineering to print parts accurately.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma and 1+ year manufacturing experience.
• Experience with CNC fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to inspect parts and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print.
• Fabricate parts using sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
• Inspect and ensure the quality of fabricated parts.
• Report inferior defects and non-conforming parts to supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
• Input programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.
• Keep accurate inventory of tools.
• Set up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print.
• Follow instructions from supervisors/engineers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Works from verbal and/or written instructions from supervisor and engineers.
• Sets up and operates various CNC fabricators, shear, spot weld and press brake equipment per print.
• Fabricates parts using various sheet metal fabricating tools and machines.
• Sets up fabrication equipment to produce parts to print. Must be able to operate all department equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Inputs programs in CNC controls and make adjustments as necessary.
• Responsible for inspection and overall quality of fabricated parts.
• Reports inferior defects and non-conforming parts to supervisor.
• Works with engineering to produce parts to print.
• Keeps accurate inventory of tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma
• 1+ years manufacturing, preferably fabricating parts
