Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. You will follow prints, wiring diagrams and work instructions to assemble units on the line, using power tools and hoists while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will read blueprints, measure and fit components, and ensure all QA checks are completed. Prior make-to-order assembly experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms. Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required.

Position Description

A Mechanical Assembler is responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line. This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overhead hoists and fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from the work station. Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands. The Mechanical Assembler reports to the Operations Supervisor.
