Job summary

GRT Rubber - Falkville seeks a Fabricator to join our team in Falkville, AL. The role focuses on fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products according to blueprints and welding symbols.

You will read travelers, maintain production records, and help keep the work area clean. This full-time position requires basic welding knowledge (GMAW/MIG), punctuality, and the ability to work overtime or weekends when needed. Compensation starts at $23.69–$25.24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic welding, Mig (GMAW) Welding required.
• Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
• Outstanding punctuality and attendance required.
• Ability to read tape measures (standard and metric).

Responsibilities

• Manufacture parts according to blueprints using basic welding symbols.
• Read job travelers and interpret blueprints.
• Complete production records using a computer format to maintain cost, efficiencies, inventory, and integrity.
• Ensure cleanliness of the press, workstation, and area per housekeeping practices.

Job Goal

A fabricator is responsible for fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manufacturing parts according to blueprints using basic welding symbols.
• Read job travelers and interpret blueprints.
• Complete production records using a computer format to maintain cost, efficiencies, inventory, and integrity.
• Ensure proper cleanliness of the press, workstation, and immediate press area by following good housekeeping practices.

Position Type & Expected Hours Of Work
