Job summary

Tidal Wave Auto Spa is seeking a skilled Fabricator in Thomaston, GA to support construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and structures across our facilities.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of fabrication/welding experience, can read blueprints, and operate MIG/TIG/STICK welders along with grinders and saws. A High School diploma and technical training are preferred. Safety, teamwork, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
• 2–4 years fabrication/welding experience in industrial/maintenance settings.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings with attention to tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install metal and other materials per specifications and drawings.
• Operate welding equipment and cutting tools (welders, saws, grinders).
• Read blueprints and program measurements; cut and shape materials with accuracy.
• Perform welding, drilling, and finishing to ensure quality output.
• Inspect completed work to meet safety standards; repair/modify equipment.
• Maintain tools and work areas; follow safety procedures; identify process improvements.

This role is responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials to meet precise specifications while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. The Fabricator will collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to deliver durable and effective solutions, upholding Tidal Wave Auto Spa’s high standards of operational excellence.**Key Responsibilities:*** Fabricate, assemble, and install metal and other materials according to specifications and drawings.* Operate fabrication equipment such as welders, saws, grinders, and cutting tools.* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.* Measure, cut, and shape materials with accuracy and attention to detail.* Perform welding, drilling, and finishing work to ensure high-quality output.* Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.* Conduct repairs and modifications to existing equipment and structures.* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.* Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support projects and repairs.* Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.* Identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.**Education:*** High School Diploma or equivalent required.* Technical training or certification in welding, fabrication, or a related field preferred.* Experience:* Minimum 2–4 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or metalworking.* Experience in industrial, commercial, or maintenance environments preferred.* Experience working with a variety of materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).**Technical Skills:*** Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.* Familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery.* Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and material properties.**Soft Skills:*** Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.* Good communication and teamwork skills.* Strong organizational and time management skills.* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.**Preferred Certifications:*** Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) preferred.* OSHA safety training is a plus.**Core Competencies:*** Technical Skill: Demonstrates expertise in fabrication and welding techniques.* Quality Focus: Produces precise and durable work that meets specifications.* Safety Awareness: Adheres to safety standards and best practices.* Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves fabrication challenges efficiently.* Reliability: Consistently delivers high-quality work on time.Additional Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy materials.
