Job summary

Ameritex Pipe & Products in Seguin, TX is seeking a manual laborer to help execute fabrication plans and support daily operations across the facility.

You will read technical drawings, measure and cut materials, assemble components, weld or join parts as required, and operate fabrication tools safely while maintaining quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is required, with two years of fabrication experience preferred. Monday - Friday 5am - 5:30PM with Sundays off and Thursdays off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associates Technical Degree preferred.
• Two years of fabrication experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of material properties and characteristics.
• Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product. Weld and solder pieces together. Align components and connect them with bolts and screws.

• Creates and builds metal structures and components according to design specifications
• Examines project requirements to determine materials and dimensions needed to complete the job or task.
• Assesses and mitigates potential challenges in the fabrication process

• Interprets technical drawings and blueprints for accurate fabrication
• Operates and maintains fabrication machinery and tools
• Reports any operational or equipment failures to supervisor or plant manager as soon as they occur.
• Assembles and welds components to construct final products
• Inspects finished products for quality and making necessary adjustments
• Collaborates with design teams and engineers to optimize fabrication processes

Salary Range: $25.00 To $25.00 Hourly

This role is responsible for executing the fabrication plans and supporting the daily operations and manufacturing tasks/projects for the entire facility.
