Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining fixtures, building guards, and other safety-related equipment. This role requires precision fabrication skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The fabricator will interpret technical drawings, operate fabrication equipment, and ensure all products meet quality and safety specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and follow engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for tool room fixtures, building guards, and safety equipment.
  • Measure, mark, cut, bend, and assemble components (plastics, steel, aluminum, etc.) to exact specifications.
  • Fabricate and install building and manufacturing fixtures and other safety-related items.
  • Maintain and repair existing fixtures, guards, and equipment as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and in compliance with 6S/5S workplace standards.
  • Document work performed and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as needed, including maintenance activities.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical training in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing is preferred.
    • Certified Welder (AWS, CW, etc.) or other relevant certifications preferred not required.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating lathes and Bridgeport and familiarity with CAD/CAM software is preferred.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
    • Ability to work with precision measuring tools and tool room equipment.
    • Physical stamina, good dexterity, and color vision for safety-related work.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
