Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Assembly Tech - Hose to assist in assembling hydraulic hose and components per factory specifications for external customers. Responsibilities include cutting, fitting, assembling hoses and fittings, and testing completed assemblies.

You will maintain inventory, use a computer and Outlook, and apply basic hydraulic knowledge to ensure accurate, timely builds. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with different hoses and thread configurations.
• Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Outlook.
• Use of various hand tools and shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Basic knowledge of fluid power.
• Mechanical aptitude to read specs and assemble parts.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:The Assembly Tech - Hose supports and enables the assembly work group by providing services to assemble hydraulic hose and components to factory specification for external customers.JOB DUTIES:• Assists and enables industrial customers in assembling hydraulic hose parts or components through familiarity and knowledge of vendor’s products.• Cuts, fits, and assembles hose and hose fittings and inspects or tests completed assembly.• Ensures proper inventory is maintained by counting, reordering or shipping materials.• Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:• Knowledge of different hoses and thread configurations, basic hydraulic principles• Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Outlook.• Ability to use a varies of hand tools and shop equipment.• Strong attention to detail.• Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.• Basic knowledge of fluid power.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must have mechanical aptitude.COMPANY INFORMATION:Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition, reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.Not the right fit?
