Job summary

Motion Industries in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Fabricator to join our team. The role focuses on fabricating belts and hoses, with duties spanning from material handling to slitter and press operations.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour with progressive raises every 6 months for the first 36 months, plus a $1.00 shift differential. Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally and read work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Lift up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Perform basic arithmetic and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate lightweight and heavy-duty belts and hoses.
• Operate Baler, Cleating, Extruder, and Press equipment.
• Perform material handling and slitting operations.
• Operate forklift and perform lacing and splicing tasks.
