Job summary

Affiliated Podiatrists is seeking a meticulous Fabricator to craft and assemble custom orthotics according to specifications. The role requires hands-on fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced setting.

You will use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, cut and mold materials, inspect finished products for quality, and collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety and organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in orthotics or a related field preferred.
• Experience in fabrication or assembly work, preferably in orthotics or a related field.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Knowledge of materials used in orthotics fabrication, including plastics, foams, and resins.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble custom orthotics according to specifications and blueprints.
• Cut, shape, and mold materials using sandbelt grinders, bandsaw blades, scissors & glue
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the Corrector and other team members to resolve production issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment as needed.
• Document production processes and update records as required.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in inventory management, including monitoring material levels and reporting shortages.
• Support other lab functions as needed to ensure production deadlines are met

The Fabricator is responsible for crafting and assembling custom orthotics based on detailed specifications and designs. This role involves attention to detail and willingness & ability to learn quickly. The Fabricator ensures the final product meets quality standards and is completed within established timelines.

Fabricator Required Education, Skills and Experience:
