Job summary

Canton Drop Forge is seeking a Fabricator to support production and maintenance by fabricating, repairing, and light blacksmithing on tooling, dies, and equipment. This role requires independent work, safety focus, and the ability to operate fabrication tools and learn a steam hammer safely.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, welding, and working in a heavy industrial environment to meet quality standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred and English literacy.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• 2+ years of experience in Fabricating
• Proficiency using welding tools.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, work orders, and perform shop math.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Day Shift:Monday – Friday: 6AM to 2PM/7 AM to 3 PM

Position Overview

The Fabricator supports production and maintenance operations by performing fabrication, repair, and light blacksmithing work on
tooling, dies, and production support equipment throughout the facility. This position assists with heating, forming,
cutting, welding, repairing, and shaping metal components using blacksmith and fabrication equipment, including
learning to safely operate a small steam hammer. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision,
strong creativity, attention to quality, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Employees in this role are expected to safely work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment while supporting
production needs and maintaining safety standards.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand majority of shift.
• Job involves frequent standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
• Must be able to tolerate extreme heat in summer months and extreme cold during winter months.
