Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Fabrication/Welding Foreman in Southbridge, MA. Lead welding and fabrication crews in a fast-paced industrial setting, both on site and in shop, with hands-on leadership and project ownership.

You will plan daily operations, ensure quality and safety, train and mentor team members, and coordinate with project managers to keep projects on track. This role combines field leadership with hands-on welding expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Foreman, Supervisor, or Lead in welding/fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication, installation, or industrial work in the metal industry.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Foreman, Supervisor, or Lead in welding/fabrication
• Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welding
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Proven experience leading crews and managing field or shop work
• Hands-on experience with fabrication, installation, or industrial work in the metal industry
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification or similar credentials
• OSHA 10/30 certification
• Experience with rigging, machinery movement, or industrial installation
• Background in structural steel, manufacturing, or heavy fabrication

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in shop or outdoor environments in varying conditions
• Ability to operate tools, welding equipment, and machinery safely
• Combination of shop and field work
• Physical, active role (lifting, climbing, equipment use)
• Exposure to industrial conditions and outdoor environments as needed
