Job summary

Central Stone is seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder/Maintenance candidate for our Jefferson Barracks quarry in St. Louis, MO.

This day shift union position with Operators Local 513 focuses on welding, fabrication, and routine maintenance in a mining/industrial setting. Ideal candidates will weld, cut, fabricate and repair in field and shop environments, follow safety rules, and communicate needs with management.

Qualifications

• Ability to weld, cut, and grind using various tools and equipment.
• Fabricate and repair items in field and shop settings.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of performing physical tasks in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental rules and company policies.
• Fabrication and welding in field and shop environments.
• Operate and monitor equipment in production areas safely.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair as needed.
• Communicate safety, maintenance, and production needs to management.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

This is a great time to join our team as we are currently seeking candidates to fill a Fabrication Welder/Maintenance position at our Jefferson Barracks quarry located in St. Louis, MO.Ideal candidates would be experienced in welding, cutting, fabrication and basic maintenance in a mining, construction, or industrial setting. This is a day shift union position with Operators Local 513, commonly working Monday through Friday with frequent Saturdays.

Fabrication Welder/Maintenance candidate requirements:

• Ability to weld, cut, and grind using a multitude of tools and equipment.
• Fabricate and repair miscellaneous items in the field and shop
• Safety-Focused
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic

Fabrication Welder/Maintenance major responsibilities include:

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and Mine Safety Health Administration.
• Fabrication and welding in the field and shop environment.
• Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
• Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
