Job summary

Komline-FluidQuip is seeking a welder to join the team in Springfield, OH. This role covers welding and fabrication of large-scale industrial equipment using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, following drawings and quality standards.

You will set up welding equipment, read blueprints, prepare materials, and inspect welds, contributing to production, repair, and custom fabrication in a safety-driven shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3+ years welding experience.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to read weld symbols and blueprints.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. with/without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on stainless steel, and other alloys as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, schematics, and work instructions.
• Set up welding equipment, select filler materials, and adjust settings for material type and thickness.
• Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fixturing.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
• Operate hand tools, grinders, torches, plasma cutters, rollers, and press break machines.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to meet customer demands.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to welding/fabrication area.
