Job summary

MAAC is seeking an experienced fabricator/welder to build machine frames and components from structural steel, then disassemble finished machines for transport.

You will MIG weld and fabricate from light gauge sheet metal to heavy gauge tube and I-Beam, including ovens, guarding, vacuum tanks, and brackets. Responsibility includes finishing, installing components, quality checks, and material handling with forklifts/cranes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of fabrication experience with various metals.
  • MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
  • Experience with saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts, and cranes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build machine frames and components from structural steel.
  • Disassemble machines for transport after fabrication.
  • MIG weld and fabricate from light gauge sheet metal to heavy gauge tube and I-Beam.
  • Fabricate industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, and brackets.
  • Perform finishing, install components, and conduct quality checks.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.

Rate of Pay: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour (paid weekly)

Overtime Rate: $34.50 to $37.50 per hour

2nd Shift Schedule
  • Monday thru Friday; 3:45pm to 12:15am.
  • Overtime always available; paid breaks.
JOB SUMMARY
  • MAAC is looking for an experienced fabricator/welder with potential to grow into a leadership role. The primary tasks involve building machine frames and components out of structural steel, followed by tearing down completed machines to prepare for transport.
  • MIG welding and fabrication of machine frames and components that consist of light gauge sheet metal to heavy gauge tube, flat bar and I-Beam.
  • Fabricating industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, catwalks.
  • Grinding and finishing completed products.
  • Perform quality checks on finished components.
  • Installing finished components into machine structures.
  • Disassembling machines for painting and shipping.
  • Material handling with sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes.
