Job summary

Beasley Forest Products is seeking a dependable Fabrication team member to support manufacturing and maintenance operations in a lumber facility. The role involves welding, cutting, fitting, grinding, and fabricating metal components, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has hands-on MIG welding experience, uses welding rods/electrodes, and can read drawings and layouts. Comfort with overhead and on-site fabrication in an industrial setting is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year welding, fabrication, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
• Experience with MIG welding is required.
• Experience using welding rods/electrodes is required.
• Experience safely operating a cutting torch is required.
• Must be able to pass a welding test.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, cutting, fitting, grinding, and fabrication of metal components and structures.
• Safely operate welding machines and cutting torches and select proper welding materials.
• Read and interpret measurements, drawings, and fabrication plans.
• Fabricate, repair, modify, and install equipment components as needed.
• Inspect welds for quality and workmanship; maintain tools and work area.
