Job summary

Andritz is seeking a skilled Fitter to lay out, fit, and weld metal components using GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW processes. You will interpret blueprints, inspect work, and maneuver parts with cranes in a factory setting.

Responsibilities include tack welding, maintaining quality standards, and promoting safe working practices in a dynamic production environment. This role starts on swing shifts with potential shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of welding, metal fabrication, and fitting experience.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication environment preferred.
• Strong blueprint literacy and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Fit and lay out metal components per specifications.
• Tack weld or weld components using GMAW, SMAW, FCAW.
• Perform first-order inspection for dimensional accuracy.
• Operate fabrication equipment and handle movement of assemblies with cranes.
• Follow safety practices and ANDRITZ Life-Saving Rules.
