United Concrete Products Inc. in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Fabrication Welder to join our fabrication department.

You will fabricate steel molds, interpret blueprints, and operate welding equipment to produce precast concrete products. Qualifications

• 3+ years of MIG welding and fabrication experience.

Job description

United Concrete Products Inc. is a leader in producing over 250 stock items and custom precast concrete solutions for our customers. We are seeking a Fabrication Welder to join our fabrication department in Wallingford, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and repairing steel molds for our precast concrete products.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 6:00 am-4:30 pm Saturday 6:00 am-12:00 pm with overtime as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications
• Fabricate steel to create molds that will hold concrete to create custom or stock items
• Set up and operate fabrication and welding equipment
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of MIG welding and fabrication (required)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Knowledge of measuring tools and product tolerances
• Attention to detail
• Reliable transportation
• Stick welding is a plus to the welder position.
